A rheumatologist treats conditions of the joints, muscles, bones and the immune system. This includes rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis and other causes of back pain, lupus (SLE), vasculitis, Sjögren’s syndrome, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and arthritis in children (JIA).

Consider a consultation if you have joint pain or swelling lasting more than a few weeks, morning stiffness that lasts over 30 minutes, back pain with stiffness that improves with movement, repeated attacks of gout, or joint pain with unexplained fever, rashes, mouth ulcers or hair loss. A positive RA factor, anti-CCP or ANA blood test is also a good reason to get a specialist opinion.

Use the Book Appointment page: choose a date, pick a free morning or evening slot and enter your details. Your request is sent to the clinic, which then confirms it. If you share your email address, you will receive an email when the appointment is confirmed.

Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 noon and 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM. Sunday is a holiday. Consultations are by appointment.

Bring all previous prescriptions and a list of the medicines you currently take, recent blood test reports, X-rays, scans (MRI/CT) and discharge summaries. A short note of when your symptoms started and what makes them better or worse is also very helpful.

Rheumatoid arthritis usually cannot be cured permanently, but it can be controlled very well. Starting the right treatment early helps prevent joint damage, and many patients reach remission, where they have little or no disease activity and lead normal, active lives.
